ZANNI NEARLY DROWNED.
MOTOR BOAT RUN DOWN.
THIS MORNING'S EXCITING EVENTS.
Major Pedro L. Zanni's world flight almost came to a tragic end this morning when he was nearly drowned through being thrown into the harbour as the result of a collision between the Government steam- launch "Victoria" and a motor boat in which he was going to his 'plane. Although the aviator could hardly swim, he kept afloat till he was picked up almost exhausted.
It was his indomitable pluck and his great physical strength which kept him going till aid reached him. However, he is little the worse for his Immersion and confidently expects to leave for Foochow to-morrow morning... The story as related In the two versions given below-make-graphic-reading.
