The Ching Mail" understande that u petition has been drawn up for the reprieve of Chan Din, the Indian chauffeur, convicted of the murder of his wife in April of this year. It has been drafted by the solicitors and counsel, who repre- sented the prisoner at his trial and will be considered at the meeting of the Executive Council to Horow. The signatures of at large proportion of the Indian com
munity have been obtained and there is possibility of another petition being drawn up with a flew to getting the signatures of #ympathetic-Europeans.
