LONDON, June 18. On the resumption of the Preference debate in the House of Commons, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald nunounced he would vote against all ten resolutions, He said the first four innocent looking resolutions were a preliminary declaration in favour of the full programme of Imperial Preference...
When the House of Commons resumed, Mr. Stanley Baldwin declared the decision would be one of profound interest and far reaching impor tance. (Opposition cheers.) It was important to rss the resolutions as they stood. A reference by Mr. Baldwin' to the absence of Mr. Lloyd George caused Opposition laughter in view of the belief that Mr Lloyd George's absence was deliberate Mr. Baldwin agreed if the resolutions were defeated there could be no talk of breach of faith as Parlia
