One of the Dragon Boats racing off Ming Yuen Gardens, North Point, on the Festival Day. A glance at the craft will reveal the reason for the name. On each of the crew's bamboo hata (similar to those worn until recent years by the Chinese police here) can be seen the character "Wo", which is part of the crew's name. The man at the bow (with his back to the dragon's head) is playing a drum or, tom-tom, to set the pace. Another standing up amidships is beating a gong, the purport of which is to re-echo the beats from the drum for those in the stern.
