It is an adaptation by June! Mathis of Balzac's novel, "Eugenie Grandet." The secene is hid in a provincial city of France, where ! the miserly old Grandet hoards his gólt and lives in poverty with his daughter, Eugenie. This is the beginning of Balzer's tremendous story of love and greed.
In the screen version Alice. The title role of "Salvation Nell" is portrayed by Pauline Starke, who is declared to have done the greatest emotiorial and dramatic work of her career in this vehicle, Joseph King is her leading man. Gipsy O'Brien, E. T. Langford, Evelyn C. Carrington, Charles MacDonald and Matthew Betz ure prominent in the cast.

The scenario was prepared by Dorothy Farnum, who in the past hus written. scripts for Lionel Barry- more and Constance Talmadge, The production will be the feature attraction at the Star Theatre. shortly.
