LAUNCHING TO-MORROW.
The single screw steamer "Lien Shing" built at the Kowloon establishment of the Hongkong and Whampoa Dock Co., Ltd. for the Indo-China Steam Navigation Co., Ltd. for service between Shanghai and Tientsin will be launched to-morrow at 11.45 a.m.

The vessel is of the two deck type with poop and bridge, connected by a shade deck, top-gallant forecastle and boat decks aft and amidships. The rudder is controlled from the bridge, as in the two previous 'ships built for this Company, by the McTaggart Scolt system of Talemotor gear which is led to Hastics steam steering gear situat ed in the poop and directly con- nected to the rudder head.
