FAST DRIVING.
In an action arising out of a collision between a cyclist and a motor-van, Judge Cluer at Shore. ditch County Court held that the cyclist's case failed, as he had neglected to keep а proper Look-out.
Judge Ciner said:
My sympathy, if I had any, would be with the plaintiff (cyclist) rather than with the defendant, because everybody knows that almost always motorists drive

In view of the Reute íelegram Announcing that a Canadian ex- pedition has left Vancouver for the Cocos Island to search for treasuro supposed to have been buried there carly in the nineteenth century, the following will be read with interest. It is taken from the Westminster Gazette:—
In a dull Bttle office in this sleepy town I have just heard a remark- able story of adventure and treasure-hunting in the Southern,
Scas.
on
When the Westminster Gazetic published the exclusive news that the Scientific Expeditionary Re«- search Association's party board the St. George contemplated. visiting Cocos Island to search for £7,000,000 of burled treasure, it blew into flame a hidden spark in the heart of an old adventurer who is to-day, a respected citizen of Colchester..
It was be who unfolded to me the story of how he had come into possession of the chart of Cocos Island purporting to be drawn and signed by the captain and chief mate of the Mary Read; how he had fitted out an ex- pédition 17 years ago to hunt for the treasure and how, baffled by | the perils of deadly tropical disease, the expedition had been sent scurrying home after spending only ten days on the island.
A. SECOND, CACHE.
He told me, too, that there is a further £5,000,000 worth of treasure | buried in the same island by the old pirate Bonito. Its location, he said, is uncertain, but it seems to be almost in the same spot as the ill-gotten spoil of the Mary Read. So that altogether £12,000,000 worth is reported to be buried in the soil of Coeos.
The adventurer "must remain anonymous. But under a pledge he showed me his chart, purporting to bear the precise location of the buried hoard. "I have not shown |that to a living soul for 17 years” he said, "but I carry it always with
me.
The treasure contains a 5-foot figure of the Madonna in solid gold- weight for ten or fifteen men-250 swords studded "with jewels, and a vast quantity, of Church plate, coin, bar gold and bar silver.
"This chart was made by the two survivors of the Mary Dyer-- or, according to you, the Mary Read-when ordered to do so by the gunboat that chased and overwhelmed them. The two. officers accompanied the gunboat to the island, but managed to escape from their captors. |F7-

Clouded by a film
Your teeth are clouded more or less by film. The freal film is vis- cons you can feel it with your tongue. It clings to teeth, enters crevices and stays.
Old methods of brushing leave mach of that film intact. The film absorbs stains, so the teeth look discolored. Film is the basis of
tartar.
How it ruins teeth
That film holds food substance which ferments and forms acida holds the acids in contact with the teeth to cause decay.
