Assent under protest” was the attitude of the unofficial members towards-the-military-lands-award-at-this afternoon's mosting of the Legislative Council when the Government's resolution accepting the War Office's terms came up for discussion. The unofficial members folt that the bargain was very lopsided and that several Important points should be submitted arbitration,

EXPECTED BACK, TO-DAY.
Reports which came by this morning's Incoming steamer from Macao state that the missing ferry launch "Kwong Shun" was found near Sha-Mee-Tau, and has been taken by gunboats to Macao. The launch was empty and attempts had. been made to disguise it by re- painting the hull. It is expected that the Kwong Shun" will be brought back to Hongkong some tíme to-day.
