Following the Free State Amy mutiny there. has been great activity amongs the Ulster con- stabulary in Londonerry. All motors, crossing the border from the Free State have been held up and searched with the ubject of preventing any attempt being made to transfer arms from the Free State military barracks in Co. Donegal Into Londonerry.
The military authorities in Dublin state that, the search for Tobin and Dalton has hitherto been without result. Lorries full of soldiers have reap, peared and are patrolling the Dublin streets.

During the debate on the Budget proposals in the Legislative Assembly the Swarajists inflicted a series of defeats on the Government, refusing the customs grant of 75 lakhs and successively. rejecting by narrow majorities the Government's proposals regarding income tax, salt tax, and opium.
Moving the rejection of the customs grant, Mr. Motilal Nehru declared that while Indians welcomed the change in the angle of vision evinced by Lord Olivier's recent speech in London, the British Government's reply to the demand for responsible government was wholly unacceptable,
Sir J. Hailey described the motion as an effort to bring constitutional government to a standstill.
