The zero of the table corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be 4 foot
inches below mena, sea-level,
To obtain the depth of water on the tida gauge at the Victoris Naval Yard add 0 feet 4 inches, and on the gas at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feat. inches to the height given in the table.
