An analysis of yesterday evening's division shows a majority of 187 for the Labourites, with 137 votes for the Liberals, the two Irish Nationalists and the two Independents; and a minority of 245 for the Conservatives, ten Liberals and one Inde- pendent. RAILWAY STRIKE QUERY,
Mr. Baldwin,. moving the adjournment until February 12, announced that the Government's resignation had been accepted. He said the date of re-assembly had been chosen to suit, Mr. Mar- Donald. The Liberal member Mr. P. A. Harris protested against a three weeks' adjournment with ́ a railway strike on.
The Commons agreed to the adjournment. Mr. MacDonald did not speak to Mr. Kindersly during the ballot on the motions that he gave notice that on the Civil Service Estimates he would move a resolution on the subject of Empire development.
