Ice Avalanche Tragedy.
The fall of a mass of ice, a piece of which cut the rope that connect- ed a party of mountaineers on the Grandes Charmots, caused the death of M. Larrier and seriously injured a guide, says a Paris cor respondent. The five climbers with two guides saw the avalanche of ice fall from the Nauillon Glacier. and one of the party wound their rope round a point of rock, but it was cut by a piece of ice, and the foremost climbers two precipitated down the slope. Larrier fell into a crevasse and was killed. Fárini, the guide, was rescued with difficulty,

This new method of teeth clean- ing shows its benefits quickly. Man, woman or child will in a weck see effects delightful and convincing.
Millions of people of some forty races now employ this method. Leading dentists everywhere_ad- vise it. You should learn how much it means to you and yours.
Clouded by a filmm
Your teeth are clouded more or less by film. The fresh film is vig- cous-you can feel it with your tongue. It clings to teeth, enters crevices and stays.
Old methods of brushing leave much of that filem intact. The film absorbs stains, so the teeth look discolored. Film is the basis of tartar.
How it ruins teeth
That fim holds food substance which ferments and forms acide. It holds the acids in contact with the teeth to cause decay.
Millions of germs breed in it. They, with tartar, ere the chief cause of pyorrhea. So most tooth

troubles are now traced to that Gim, and they are almost universal.
Now we combat it.
Dental science, after long re search has found two film com- batants. Many careful tests have proved their efficiency. Leading dentists everywhere urgo the daily use.
A new-day tooth paste has Sett created, called Pepsodent. It com plies with modern requirements. And these two grest filim.combat- ants are crabodied in it.
Two other effects Pepsodent brings two other ef fects which authority now deems essential It multiplies the starch digestant in the saliva.
It multiplies the alkalinity of the zaliva. That is Nature's neutralizer for acids which cause decay.
Note how clean the teeth feel alter using. Mark the absence of the viscous film. See how teeth whiten as the film-coate disappear, Then judge the benefits by what you see and feel, You will be amazed
