Counsel, in addressing the Court on behalf of M. Andre Barthelot, recalled that the original report of the expert, M. Doyen, conchided by saving that the profits figuring in the bank's balance sheet, at the end of December, 1919, did not exceed what could be justifiably considered real profits,
Despite M. Doyen's conclusions, M. Berthelot was charged on Octo ber 13, 1921, three days before the reopening of Parliament.
After that the museussumed a political climeter. M. Berthelot and his companions were being andle the victims of a political cam- paign.
