FLYOSAN
FLEAS
The flea is a small, reddish-brown insect notable for its ability to bite,
its extreme agility and hard, highly polished Shell-like substance of its body. These are many species, those infesting animals being different from the human flea (Pules Irritans).
Fleas as a rule prefer certain hosts including man. This is one reason that makes them dangerous parasites so far as plague and other infections are concerned.
In addition, fleas act as intermediate hosts for certain tape-worms, and doubtless are the mechanical or biological carriers of other infections. Nicolle incriminates the flea in typhus fever.
Dogs and cats, badly infested with fleas, and unable to withstand the agency caused by the flea-bites, suffer from so called "fits". Constant scratching develops, numerous sores on various parts of their bodies resulting in skin disorders, the most common being classified as mange... Cows and horses are likewise attacked by certain varieties of fleas. Far better than flea "soaps" etc. FLYOSAN sprayed directly on the animal will instantly kill every flea and alleviate and soothe the inflamed condition of its skin. FLYOSAN as used in exterminating bed-bugs will destroy house fleas.
