POURED IN MISTAKE FOR VINEGAR.
M.P'S LOST WHISKY.
At a meeting of women at Guild- ford, Surrey, Sir Henry Bucking ham, M.P. for Guildford, said that at the luncheon to Mr.T. PA O'Connor the father of the House of Commons-he was seated next to Mr. George Lansbury, a strict teetotaller.
Sir Henry ordered some whisky and it was taken to him at the table in a small bottle. Cold salmon was served, and Mr. Lansbury, ap parently mistaking the whisky for vinegar, poured it over the fish
Sir Henry, who drew a veil giver the sequel, said "The worst of t was, from my point of view, that Mr. Lansbury did not tender d other whisky
Mr. Lansbury laughingly told reporter that he really did the i that the whisky was vinegar soon found out my mistake, //i said, "when the fumes rose up. I didn't eat the salmon-bord some more."
"I was so flabbergasted that didn't think to order Sir Hom Buckingham another drink. Sir Henry thought of it--he orders another for bimself.”
