EVIDENCE OF MR. QUINN.
A further stage was reached last night in the arbitration proceedings at the Chinese Club to decide who: in the rightful owner of ticket No, 3066, which drew the winner of the Hongkong Derby in the Sweep promoted by the Chinese Club. Mr. Chik Soon-sing, of Shanghai, and Mrs. Violat Chan, of Hongkong,

Mr. Sydney Quinn continued his evidence. Examined by Mr Zetlyn he stated that he sold Chik the ticket No. 3075 in the Hongkong offices, of the China Specie Bank, Witness afterwards discovered that he had lost the counterfoils of the tickets. He communicated the fact to the Secretary of the Club, and the latter stated that it did not matter so long as knew the pur- chasers of the tickets, and forward ed the cheque for the purchase money in due course.
