MYSTERY SHIP.
TRANSATLANTIC FISHING
VENTURE.
A trim little craft of 200 tons, known as the "mystery ship, which for sorun time has been lying in the West Dock, Cardiff, "bas alipped away on a pioneer expedi- tion across the Atlantic. She was. the "George Cochrane."
Curiosity was excited when bulky parcels arrived daily and none except those on board knew the destination of the vessel.
But with her departure the The mystery has been cleared. "Licorge Cochrane" is bound on an expedition to the Great Lakes of North America.
In charge of Lieut.-Commander Frank A. Worsley, D.S.O., R.N.R., she is attempting to open up a new fishing industry that will be within the reach of small British ernft. The commander is well fitted to lend the expedition. He was chief navigating officer of the "Quest" în Bir Ernest Shackleton's expedition to the South Polar seas, and captain of the "Endurance" in Slickle. ton's South Polo expedition.
The signing on of the crew was only completed a few hours before the vessel loft the port. Those who planned the venture are confident it vill prova a financial success und ndd one more link to British trade.
