A Hankow paper reports the death on February 28 of a well- known resident of Hankow, Mɛ. Thomas Stephens, aged 79,LAS native of Sweden, he came out- East as a boy on board a sailing ship, and then found employment on steamers on the coast and the Yangtsze.
