TEN ROUND CONTEST.
One of the chief bouts of the evening was a special ten round con- test between P.0. Morgan, H.M.S. "Hawkins" and Pte. Mlynn, of the King's Regiment. The first round was more or less offe of preliminary hits and there was nothing really eventful in the second and third rounds. It was at first believed that Morgan would demonstrate superior boxing against Flynn but when in the ring the King's mon proved that it was wrong conclusion and up to the eighth round be fought with sustained vigour giving the naval man perhaps more thon he expected. Morgan had of course a longer reach over Flynn which occasionally gave him an advantage. Ha bed the batter of the last round when Flynn began to get saggy and had be received a hard enough blow the latter would probably have gone down, for the full count. He lasted right to the and, but lost the con-
test.
