Mr. Forbes Lankester, the Wort London magistrate, sentenced Mahomed Zain. Arifin,
Malayan student, to two months' imprison- ment for assaulting Mrs. Ema Thrandgold, of Redcliffs-road, South Kensington.
It was stated that the assault took place when Mrs. Threadgold present- ed her account, the woman receiving a heavy blow on the hoid, a poker wrapped is a handkerchief” being found on the table.
