A story of a woman's bigamous marriage to her adopted son was told at the Old Bailey.” „Annie O'Reilly, 59, was sentenced to four months" ļimprisonment in the second division for bigamy and making.'s fales declaration for the purpose of procur ing a marriage licence

Arthur Waters, 29, was charged with aiding and abetting kur in the bigamy. Bentence on him was post poned till the next sesalons, when the Recorder said, he would be released.

It was stated that O'Reilly and her busband adopted Waters when he was a boy of four. In 1918 the woman's husband left her and last year she and Waters went through the marriage ceremony, the woman describing her- self as a spinster, aged 36. Wafers married the woman because her husband having left her, he con- aidered himself under an obligation to look after bar. The whole thing happ ned in consequence of the woman's alotion for Waters AB D
