Is spite of the recent autocament of shipbuilding orders being placed on the North East Coast, a discouraging note as to the immediato futurs of the shipbuilding industry was struck by Mr. J.-T. Batey, managing director of Messrs. It. and W. Hawthorn, Leslie and Co., Hebbura, in speaking at the after proceedings of the launch of the "Autolycus," of 0,600 tons, which the firm has built for Mesara, Holt and Co., of Liverpool.
