CONFTANTINOPLE, September 21. The French and Italian detachmenta' Bags were to-day removed from Kemid in the Dardanelles mentral zones by orders of the respective governments. The lines are now held exclusively by British troops supported by the combined Atlantis and Mediterraneam fleeta.

The kemalist vanguard is reported to have reached the neutral zone of the Dardaneller. The next few bours will show whether they contemplate action,

The Kemaliat representative at Constantinople has declined to pledge the Kemalists to respect the neutral zone, although he was warned that an offensive would mean war with Britain. He hoped nevertheless that friendly outside counsels would deter Kemal from an actual breach.

ANGORA'S AIMS.

CONSTANTINO, September 21. Hamid Boy, the Angoran representative, inter- viewed, entertained scant hope of a successful outcome of the conference between the French High Commission- er and Mustapha Kemal, because nothing would alter' Angora's determination to occupy Thrace. The Angora Assembly by an overwhelming majority had authorised Kemal to continue the war until the achievement of national sime.

SALVAGE MEASURES.

COFENHAGEN, September 21. The Folksthing and Landsting have unanimously adopted pills for the reorganisation of the Landmands Babk and the appointment of a commission of inquiry in- to ita aflairs. The Government will subscribe 40,000,000 kroner for preference sharce, and the East Asiatic Com- pany and the Great Northern Telegraph Company each 30,000,000, while the National Bank will subscribe 30,000,000 as reserve fund for the Landmands Bank. The now board will consist of not more than nine members, the majority designated by the Government.
