LONDON, September 7. Following the peace esrmon by the Archbishop of Canterbury. at Geneva on the eve of the League of Nations Assembly comes a vigorous appeal for im mediate action by the Non-conformist leader. Doctor Jowett who, writing in the British Weekly declares that the world is drifting again into war and urged the Chur- ches, Protestant, Roman and Greek to awake from slam- ber. He suggests that their leaders meet in councils of peace, every nation being included.
