RUSKIN'S FIRST SKETCH- BOOK.

SAID TO BE OF EXTREME INTEREST,

The library of Bembridge School, Isle of Wight, which was recently opened by General Seely, contains some literary treasures of great interest. Perhaps the most notable of these is the st sketch-book which Raskin used as a boy. There is a reference to this book "Præterita." Ruskin writes in Chapter IV- "I find my firstsketch-book an ex- tremely inconvenient upright small Aug. 22-Hughes and Hough, teak-octave in mottled and flexible cover; Mr. E. D.
