This morning reports began to filler through of a disastrous of typhoon at Swatow, Do'ails, owing to the break. down of communications, are very mearre but extensive damage to that port is indicated. The Tung Shing and the Shan Tung are known to be ashore, but at time of writing informa tion is lacking as to their condition.
