of America decrease on the week of 99,000 bales to 3 163,000 bales as against an increase of 18,000 bales to 4592,000 beles last year, and the visible supply of all varieties has decreased by 151,000 bales to 5,253,000 bales against an increase of 19,000 bales to 6,859,000 bales a year ago. There has been a large demand for both yarn and cloth in the Manchester market, the enquiry covering a wide range of styles and although the sharp advance in prices at the end of last week appear ed to put a temporary check on business, buyers have now shews some disposition to improve their "of- fers and a good turnover has been done. The market has been very tim, spinners especially, but there has been practically no change in rates.
