In the House of Commons Mr. Winston Churchill replying to Colonel Wedgwood sai that the British North Borneo Company in order to restrict gambling invited tenders for the monopoly control of gambling rights throughout the territory, not merely among the Chinese coolies on estates as suggested. The revenue derived from this source last year amounted to £10,800 sterling,

THE HAGUE, June 22. The full British delegation is meeting at the Palace Hotel this morning The Empire delegates depart in a day or two leaving their interests in the hands of the British representatives.
Dr. Van Karnebeek is to-day formally intimating to Russia the cata position of the non-Russian commission whereon, counting the Dominions es part of Britain, 25 countries will be represented, mostly by two delegat es each. Britain wil be represented by Sir Lloyd Greate, and Commander | Hilton Young; Italy by Baron Avezzana and Docter Giannini; Belgium by M. Cattier and M. Galopin; and Japan by Esto Councillor of the Embassy and Sekiba, of the ministry of Finance. The names of the French and Dutch delegates have not yet been announced.
WRECK OF THE "BLUE SKY.”

The wreckage of the drifter "Blue Sky" was washed ashore near Margate. An inquest en a body believed to be that of a naval rating ha been adjourned in the hope of identification.
