This closely contested game on the Club ground resulted in a win for the Soldiers by the only goal scored.
Forsyth kicked off for the Club, but the Soldiers were early attacking. Hands pulled up a promising attack, and Stewart sent England away. The latter centred well but the right winger was slow and a good chance went begging. Several other good chances were missed at both ends after this. After a long ding-dong straggle, Burnett managed to get past McPhail, and centred well Jones sena in a hard shot which struck Telfer. and bounced into the net out of Roger's reach.
The exchanges were fast after this, both sets of forwards working like niggers, and the defences were kept very busy. However, no more gaols were scured, and the Kings ran out winners by the only goal of the
