ARTICLE L-DENINITIONS.

IN THESE RULES

(a)" Carrier" includes the owner or the charterer who enters into a con- tract of carriage with a shipper.

(b) "Contract of carriage” mears a bill of lading or any similar docu- ment of title in so far as each doca- ment relates to the carriage of goods by sea.

- (c) "Goods" includes goods, wares, merchandise, and articles of every kind watercever, except live animals and cargo canied on deck,

(d) Ship" includes any vessel used for the carriage of goods by rea. (e) Carriage of goods" covers be pericd from the time when the geods are received on the ship's tackle to the time when they sie unleaded from the ship's tackle.

ARTICLE IL-B]£X£.
