A message from Washington states that in the Far Eastern committee M. Viviani introduced a resolution emphasising the necessity of superseding competition by cooperation in the establishment of wireless communica tions between China and other countries. He urged the appointment of an international committee including China to achieve that end, especially having in mind the equipment of the most modern plant as soon as possible. The resolution provides that internal wireless shall be operated in accordance with Chines: law and that foreign communications shall be dealt with by an international convention. It lays down that the governments interested shall not support concerns not complying with the committee's basic principles. Government and press messages shall be granted at least a 50 per cent, reduction.
