TROUBLE STILL BREWING IN MADRAS,
CALICUT, September 4.
The fight at Tirurangadi which 14sued in the capture of the rebel leader Alimudliar and 42 other Moplahs lasted several hours, the rebels resisting deperately to the end. About 40. Moplahs were killed Two British soldiers were kider and four wounded. The rebels used a kind of A quantity of explosives and weapons rocket carrying a sharp spike.

TREASURIES THREATENED,
MADRAS, September 4. Trouble is still brewing at Mannaraghat and hundreds of refogees are dering to Paiaghat, Reports of robbery and plundering are arriving from Prasani. The local police have telegraphed saying that the treasuries at Ponnani and Chawgat are threatened and requesting urgent military aid. It is reported that an ultimatum has been sent the rebels demanding their surrender within 48 hours.

The situation in Malabar is easing. The rebels are fleeing from the troops and taking to the jungle. Ali Mesaliar and a rutaber of other Moplabs have been safely jailed.
