GENEVA, April 8th. The Amendments Commission of the League of Nations has held its first sit- ting. It must report to the Council of the League by June af to enable the -Council to determine the recommenda- tions it is to make to members of the League in view of the second Assembly of the League in September,
The Commission has invited the Crechi Slovakian and Chinese delegates to ex- plain the amendments to Article XXI. of the Covenant of the Leagne, which have been submitted by their respective Governments.
The Chinese Gorerament proposes to replace the article by the following:- "The Monroe Doctrine is recogaised as being, not, incompatible with any pàți-: sions of the present Covenant"
