Professor Alexander Sklarevski, the eminent placist, gave his fourth pianoforte recital at St. Andrew's Hall yesterday evening before a large audience which was roused to a high pitch of enthusiasm by his brilliant playing. So insistent was the ap plause at times, especially after his masterly interpretations of Mendels sahi's exquisite "Spinning Wheel,* Schubert-Tausig's inspiring "Military March" (played by request), and Liszt's beautiful Campanella," that Professor Sklarevski, who was made the recipient of a garland of flowers, had perforce to submit the encores demanded by a delighted audience.

I think a judge would put the case ́a jury somewhat as follows:-Is it Teasonable that an employer should continue to employ a servant who has attempted to pledge his credit, with out suthority, for a large sum, or his the action of the master of this ship been such that it has destroyed all possible confidence between the em- ployer and servant?
