After having undergone a complete | overhaul the vessel, proceeded from Bristol to Antwerp, where she loaded ore for Wilmington, USA She commenced her voyage from the Belgian port on the afternoon of September 25, and proceeded under normal weather conditions until the morning of Saturday, October 2, when, owing to the prevalence of a north-westerly gale, with a heavy sea, she was hove to, When night | set in the weather became decided- ly worse, and the "Chicago. City" shipped enormous quantities of water, but all times recovered from the shock without damage.
