Alas! the slow hand of rime recks no of greatness or glory, but falls as inexorably upon

TRADE IMMORALITY.
WASHINGTON," August 31. An official report states that Germany, in an endeavour to regain her foreign trade and realise sums on manufactured goods which otherwise |might remain unsold owing to foreign prejudice, is dumping surplus inferior goods in England and the United States. Exports to England are marked "Made in America" and exports to the United States "Made in England." The report says that such tactics will discredit American manufactures in England and vice versa.
