General Sir F. Maurice, writing in the Daily Nacs, deals with a con troversy which he thinks Sir George Arthur's "Life of Lord Kirchener" has definitely settled.

It will be remembered, he writes, that Lord French, in his "1914 made-rericus charges against Lord Kitchener, Mr. Asquith ard Sir
