They can tell you the char- acter of each place, the style of the goods you are likely to find there, the prices they usually fetch; and whether the people who buy them are genuice bidders or mere dillèrames like them- selves.

of a lot may be enhanced, or the dark mysteries of a "knock-out," which is the contrary aperaken.
