A Chinese on the 8th of last month visited the servants' quarters of the Kingsclere Hotel in Kennedy Road and stole a pair of trousers belong ing to the gardener. Witness hid behind a pill and watched him. After a while, the defendant, seeing there was no one in the basement, stole a pair of trousers and putting it under his cost walked away.
