M. Stamboulinski, head of the Bulgarian Delegation, has signed the Bulgarian Treaty,

Sir Joseph Cook, the minister for the navy, said in a speech that he whole-heartedly supported the League of Nations but Britain should keep her powder dry because she could close her eyes to the preparations which Japan and America were making in furtherance of their policy in the Pacific.

LONDON, November 27,
In the House of Commons Mr. R. Clough referred to, the extreme delay of all cables from mid to får east and from Africa.. He called atten- tion to the fact that even a fortnight often elapses before the public is informed of events of the utmost importance. He saked if the departments concerned would be therefore instructed to issue promptly for public in formation the official messages they receive owing to preference in cabling.]
Mr. Lloyd George replied that the delay was caused by two faults in the eastern main cables which were now rectified. The altuation was was becoming normal; arrears were being worked off; and the various departments would continue to do what was possible in order to facilitate the early issue of news to the public.

CENTRAL EUROPE,
ALLEVIATING ECONOMIC ȘITUATION.
LONDON, November 27.
In the House of Commons at question time Mr. Lloyd George said the Government was fully conscious of the seriousness of the economic situation in Central Europe. The Supreme council was doing all 'possible to alleviate it, but had decided that only a comprehensive arrangement for a large international credit would be adequate. This involves participation by the United States, who have been urged accordingly.

on December 1. The appointment of Signor Scialoja as Foreign Minister,

ANOTHER GERMAN COMEDY,
POLAND FEARS A TRAGEDY.
LONDON, November 27.
The Polish Government has sent a note to the Allies asking them to prevent the Germans sending to the districts to be handed over to Poland troops withdrawn from the Baltic States. It is reported that detach- ments of the Iron Division have already arrived in those districts and it is feared this preludes another comedy of alleged disobedience to formal ́orders of the Berlin Government, similar to that played in the Baltic States.
