This morning at the Police Court, many spectators filled Mr. Lindsell's Curt. They were chiefly fathers and mothers of the poor. They saw their young children in the dock, heard them tried before the magistrate, and were obliged to pay the fine for them, or they heard the cries of their little ones when they felt the cane. The youngsters were charged with hawking vegetables without a licence. Could they afford
