STAFF AND DEPTS. DEFEAT THE CIVIL SERVICE. The chief features of a friendly i match played on the Civil Service ground on Saturday between the home eleven and the Staff and Depts... was a brief and bright exhibition of batting by the Rev. R. Bundle and the meritorious all-ground work of Sergt. Connor, who scored 23 runs, and captured seven wickets at a fraction over three runs apiece. The visitors won the match by 46 runs.
