It is that length of time since they called upon new arrivals to serve under the Ordinance. These arrivals have done nothing in the way of service here, although they may possibly have served else where. Stil it proves the authorities have not enforced their powers,
While members would welcome: an official announcement on the future policy of the Corps, they generously refrain from any act to embarrass the Government or to besmirch the lengthy record of good service rendered by the Hongkong
Defence Corps.
With such feelings actuating the members of the Corps, it is more than ever the duty of the Government to take early action, and so do their part towards keeping free from blemish during the whole of the war and armistice periods, the praise. worthy record of our local military unit.
