LONDON, Sept. 20. The full of the Spanish steamer "Valbanera" was found embedded in the quick sands off Rebecca Shoals, 40 miles from Key West. The "Valbanera,” which was bound to New York from Havana, has been missing since the hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico ten days ago. 360 passengers and a crew of 50 are missing,

LONDON, September 19th. Most of the newspapers, continue to emphasise the need to clear up the Rua- sian situation, in which connection the recent official and semi-ofioïal announce- ments from London, Paris and Washing ton are confusing.
The Daily
correspondent at Washington sends a digest of Mr. Bullita'e evidence. Mr. Bullitt declared that Mr. Lloyd George, addressing the Council of Ten in January, 1918, decried the iden mades. He admitted that Admiral of militarily crushing Bolshevism as
Kalichak was collecting the old regime about him, and declared that military action against the Bolsheviks would be followed by a Soviet in London.
Mr. Lloyd George won the Council over to the ides, but France opposed, and notified certain anti-Bolshevik Govern ments that she would support them in a their refusal.
Mr. Bullitt was then sent on a Russian Mission in his American official capacity. Hr. Lloyd George offered and sent Mr. Bullitt to Russia in a cruiser.

Lenin's peace proposals from Helsingfors, md, on returning to Paris, breakfasted with Mr. Lloyd George, General Smuts, Sir: Maurice Hankey, and Sir Philip Kerr. where Mr. Bullitt handed the official text of the proposal to Mr. Lloyd George, who drew General Smuts" attention to iLA importance. CONFLICTING REPORTS.
LONDON, September 21.
The latest news from Russia is conflicting. It is reported from Petrograd that the Soviet Government has resolved to enter into peace pegotiations with the Entente on the basis laid down, by the latter.
On the other band it is stated that Trotzky has informed the Soviet that several of the Bashkirian divisions will shortly reinforce the garrison at Petrograd and the troops on the North West Front.

NEGOTIATIONS WITH BOLSHEVIKS BROKEN OFF.
STOCKHOLM, Sept. 21. The Eathoniati Peace Delegation have returned to Reval. Negotiations with the Bolshevists have been broken off owing to the Esthonians' demand that negotiations be carried on simultaneously with the other Baltic States.

REVELSTOKE, Sept. 20.
The Prince of Wales arrived after a magnificent journey across the Rockies. He was cheered at wayside stations, by waiting crowds, including a party of Sikh carpenters working at the sawmills at füllundure." He was enthusiastically greeted by a homeward bound contingent of the Middlesex Regiment, from Siberia. His Royal Highness dedicated the new Revelstoke Park. The Prince motored 2,600 feet up Revelstoke Mountain and received and replied to, a civic address read by the Mayor.
ARMENIA'S APPEAL TO THE ENTENTE,
THE INACTION OF THE POWERS.
LONDON, Sept. 20.
A message from the Armenian Parliament appeals to, the Parliaments of the Entente to prevent the annihilation of Armenia by hordes of Turks, Kurds and Tartars hended by Turkish regular officers who are invading Armenia and massacring the inhabitants, encouraged, by, the, inaction of the Powers. The whole of the Armenian manhood has been mobilised to save the country but the fight is an unequal one. Armenia abandoned, Inadequately armed and munitioned must perish.....
