Mr. O. O. Bill, Assistant, Manager at Sing20ore, came up to inspect and examined the firm's cash and books on March 13, 1919.
He found the cash was. Tes. 5,176 odd short, but it appeared that the cashier was only one tical short and that the shortage of Tcs.5,175 odd was accounted for by 8 vouchers signed by the accused which he had improperly kept back instead of sending them to Singapore. The first voucher is dated Jan. 18, 19191 and the last Feb. 26 1918.
