Before the Chief Justice (Sir Will iam Rees-Davis, K.C.) in the Supreme Court this morning, the hearing was continued in the case in which Foong Fak Lin was charged with making a false entry in the books of the Sui Yick rice firm of Wing hock Street, thereby defrauding it to the extent

of $2,008.

The whole of this morning and afternoon was occupied by Mfr. Pot-

ger, for the Crown, is cross-examin- Ang the prisoner as to the working of the firm and the methods of book- keeping followed.

The case is still proceeding and will in all probability last until to- SALOTTOW.
