NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Society will be held at the registered office of the Society, Queen's Building. Bongkang, on FMJDAY, the ato day of April, 1919, at 12 o'clock noon, when the bjoined resolutions which were passed at the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Society held on the 10th day of April, 1918, will be submitted for con famation sa special resolutions --

1. That the nominal silver capital of the Society as existing when this resolution is confirmed as a special resolution ba converted into sterling and tims such capital so converted be increased beyond the sterling equivalent of such silver capital hen emch conversion takes place to the sum of £2,000,000 Sterling divided into 900,000 shares of the nominal value of £10 each.

"That each of the issued silver shares of the Society of the nominal valus of $950 each with the sum of 80 paid up thereon be converted into five shares of the nominal value of £10 each with the sterling equivalent of 820 Hongkong cur.". rency at the opening T. T. rate of exchange on the date this resolution is copirmed as a special resolution credited as paid up thereon and accordingly that e0,000 shares out of the 200,000 shares of the nominal value of £10 each constituting the capital of the Society 80 converted and increased bo distributed by the Roard to the parauna who are registered as stareholders of the Society on the date this resolution is confirmed as a special resolution in exchange for the silver share then held by them.

1. That the difference between the sterling equivalent at to-day's opening TT. rate of exchange of 80 Hongkong currency. ad the sum of £4 be called up upon each of the 80,000 shares of the Society of the nominal value of £10 each into which the silver shares of the society have been converted.

That a bonus dividend equal in amount to such difference a is referred to in Resolution No. 1 be and the same is hereby declared out of the Reinsurance Fund of the Society, such boaus dividend being payable to the persons who are register ed as the shareholders of the Society on the date this resolu tion is passed and that such dividend in the case of each of suek persons be set off against the amount due from him for calls under Resolution No, I and be retained by the Eociety accordingly and that the Board be authorised to make the necessary entries in the books of the Society.

That 10,000 shares of the capital of the Society be issued addi- tionally to the 80,000 abales referred to in Resolation No. L and that the sum of £4 be calche Erst instance sta premium thereon and that such. additional shares be offered in the of £1 per share to the persons who are registered as the share- holders of the fociety on the date this resolution is passed in the proportion of one additional shate for each silver share previously held and upon the footing that the sum of £ called up plus the £21 (making Together £95 per share) shall be paid to the Society on scceptance of the offer, and that such offer be made by notice specifying the number of shares to which auch persons are entitled and limiting the time within which the oder if not accepted by payment will be deemed to be declined to the 23rd May, 1910, and that the Board be empow ered to dispone of the shares uot taken up in response to such offer as they consider expedient in the interests of the Society- 4. That the 3,000 additional shares referred to in Resolution No. 3 parueipate in all dividends declared after the next, Anaus! It is notified that all restrictions as to the use of wireless Telegraphy by Merchant Vessels on the Chias Station bave been abolished.

The Services to Germany, Austria, Balgaria and the Ottoman Empire are suspended.

No unofficial letter addressed to Abadan, Ahwax or Mohammash in the Parsian Gulf may exceed eight ounces in weight..

The insured letter and insured parcel services between Egypt (or in transit through Egypt) and Cyprus a tempor arily suspended.

Uninsured parcels for the United Kingdom will in future de forwarded from Hoogkung in bags and the Fublic are therefore advised to pack such parcels very carefully.
