The zero of the table corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be 4 feet 3 inches below mesu sea-level
To obtain the depth of water on the tide gange at the Victoria Naval Yard add a feet 4 inches, and on the gauge at Lamont Dock. Aberdeen, add 10 feet faches to the height given in the table.
