LANDLORD AND TENANT'S DISPUTE.

In the Summary Court this moming, before Sir William Rees Davies K. C., Chief Justice, the On Sang Firm," Rope Manufacturers, claimed from Lo Sang, the wrongful removal anri detention of the sum of $320, being $200 damages for

the plaintiff cooking utensils and $120 for damage to hemp and rope.

The Defendant firm, in a counters action claims damages for the wrongful removal from the defendant's premises, of which the plaintiff was tenant, of seven stone steps and also some planking.

Mr. J. H. Gardiner appeared, for the plaintiff, and Mr. Mattingly for the do- fendant.

Mr. Gardiner said that the plaintif entered into an agreement for the. jease of the defendant's premises and daring the tanancy, plaintif“ erected some planking and also some steps, not in any way infringing the lane, and when the tenaney expired, the defendants, before the plaintiff had vacated the premises, carried out some white washing <work and splashed the defendant's rope and hemp Tlie defendant also refused to allow the plaintiff to remove the planking and steps and further detained his cooking utensils, necessitating the purchase of new ones.
