The tide table given below has been compiled at the National Almanac Office in London from the result of the analysis of observations taken by means of an automatic tide-recording machine in the Water Foline Basin at Tsim Sha Taui. daring the years 67-8-9.
The
zero of the table corresponds with the zero of the sounding in the Admiralty Chart, which has been found to be feet 3 inches below mean sea level
To obtain the depth of water on the kide gauge at the Victoria Naval Yard add a feet 4 inches, and on the gange at Lamont Dock, Aberdeen, add 10 feet 4 inches to the height given in the table.
